¹⁷ For ^(A)it is better, ^(B)if ^[a]God should will it so, that you suffer for doing good rather than for doing wrong. ¹⁸ For ^(C)Christ also suffered for sins ^(D)once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, so that He might ^(E)bring you to God, having been put to death ^(F)in the flesh, but made alive ^(G)in the ^[b]spirit; ¹⁹ in ^[c]which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison,
